ROWE TO INCLUDE TITLE STRIP INFORMATION
FROM JUKETRAX IN CD JUKEBOXES

GRAND RAPIDS - In order to make available a new service that should make life easier for the jukebox operator by simplifying the making of title strips for CD jukeboxes, Rowe International has agreed to include with each CD jukebox information for contacting “JukeTrax.”  JukeTrax has developed a program to make it simple and practical for operators to produce their own title strips for CD jukeboxes.  Making this service available is another example that Rowe is continuing its commitment to making the jukebox operator’s life easier. Just look in the blue pouch that is inside a Rowe CD jukebox.

This program, JukeTrax, requires a nominal subscription fee and is strictly between JukeTrax.com LP and the jukebox owner.  A novel application that prints “title track info” over an internet connection, JukeTrax eliminates the need to order individual title cards at a per card cost.  Users simply choose their album titles from a list of search results or they may insert the CD in the CD-ROM drive and let the application “fetch” for the corresponding info. Then it arranges the titles with complete track lists to be printed on the user’s printer.  JukeTrax also allows users to submit “new track info” for CDs not found on the database, which is then accessible in real-time. This feature is especially useful for unsigned, local artists that users would like to include in their music repertoire.

JukeTrax enables a user to log-in anywhere an internet connection is present to his/her account for unrestricted access to what is claimed to be the largest album/title database in the world.  Aptly named as jukeDB, this jukebox database backend is a platform-independent, multi-language solution provided by Surfnote, Inc.  Thanks to the loyal user base, JukeTrax now has subscribers from 23 countries, dating back its humble beginnings in 1998.  JukeTrax manages a much-needed infrastructure for an innovative method of producing titlecards.

Previously seen and done by various products that format and typeset text, none have come close to the real development obstacle: maintaining a proprietary database filled with information on seemingly endless tracks.  Rowe believes that JukeTrax is a user-friendly application. For more information, call +1 (877) SAY-JUKE or visit www.juketrax.com

If you purchase a Rowe CD jukebox after April 1, 2003 and it does NOT have the JukeTrax information, contact Maggie Barnes at Rowe (email mbarnes@roweinternational.com).  Give her the serial number of the jukebox and shipping instructions and she will mail it to you. Rowe’s offer to include JukeTrax literature may be withdrawn without notice.
